Overhaul Of 6.9 Kv Vertical Motors
Removal of the motor from the pump (refer to fig. 1-6 and 1.7):
1. Disconnect the following
a. The power leads from the motor terminal in the main terminal box.
b. All auxiliary leads.
c. The water inlet and outlet piping from the bearing oil cooler.
2. Drain the oil from the bearing oil reservoir.
Drain the water from the oil cooler.
3. Uncouple the motor from the pump.
4. remove the bolts which secure the motor to the motor stand.

Upper Bearing Dis assembly
(Refer to Fig. 1-8)
(1) Remove the bearing seal.(Refer to Fig. 1-9)
(2) Remove the oil weir.
(3) Remove the lower guide bearing using by stud bolts and jack screw.
(4) Remove the upper bearing seal.
(1) Remove the bearing seal.(Refer to Fig. 1-9)
(2) Remove the oil weir.
(3) Remove the lower guide bearing using by stud bolts and jack screw.
(4) Remove the upper bearing seal.
