• Demand in the GCC countries is seasonal. In winter time, i.e. during the month from October till mid of March there is surplus electricity; where as during the same months in Europe the demand is high for them to fight the cold weather
• The demand is even distributed on the “time-of-day” basis. For example its night time in GCC region where in Western European its still afternoon or early evening
• Similarly there is time differences between GCC countries and the African-sub- Sahara region, which factors the different time for the peak requirement of
electricity between these countries
